How data-driven dashboards are bringing energy to remote communities

Litro de Luz, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to providing sustainable energy to remote areas, faced challenges in maximising its volunteering efforts for community outreach.

The project focused on leveraging Litro de Luz’s leads data to build two key tools. First, the Leads Thermometer, a live, automated Power BI dashboard, analyses incoming leads, scoring them based on historical data and key characteristics. This empowers the NPO to prioritise potential partners, significantly streamlining their process.

Second, the Opportunities Map geographically maps remote communities, suppliers, volunteers, and potential partners across Brazil. By integrating data from various sources, including web scraping for company locations, the map provides valuable information. This allows Litro de Luz to proactively identify and engage with nearby businesses. This shift from passive to active outreach has expanded their reach and fostered local partnerships, increasing the potential for growth.

These tools have created a data-driven infrastructure, enabling Litro de Luz to make informed decisions and allocate resources efficiently. The result is improved financial sustainability and a greater ability to bring sustainable energy solutions to remote communities. A third phase, focused on providing solar-powered refrigeration, is now underway, further amplifying the partnership's impact and enhancing the lives of those they serve. We look forward to helping Litro de Luz achieve its objectives! More information is to come soon!
